My favorite...I prefer a close crop. I would probably soften the background to make the pattern a little more subtle...
The original uncropped photo
Close up vertical crop
VERY ROUGH IDEA of how the head shots could look paired with Allrecipes branding.
I think the orange wall is a little too overpowering and may not work with all outfits and skin tones.
Cropping at an angle can add a little more attitude or personality to a photo
Just an alternate crop
Tilting the head the other direction can give a different feeling to the picture
Obviously the notice on the fridge needs to go...
Close up, you can't tell it is a fridge.
Note the blurred background...puts the focus on the face but gives a glimpse of the workplace. The stainless steel counter definitely says food prep!
Same picture, closer crop, different angle
Same picture, just a different crop
Lots of nice soft colors in this area...worked great with Stephanie's outfit, but might not work for everyone...I would go with a tighter crop, but this is just the starting photo.
I really like the paper lights. This is just a REALLY ROUGH mock up of what they might look like in a picture. In reality, they would be more soft focus...they are fun, but perhaps too distracting?
Just another close up in the sitting area, background out of focus. I would lose the book as it adds visual clutter
Another image in the sitting area...I would not use this crop, but put it in so you can reference what it looks like compared to the cropped versions
Nice environmental portrait, but could be a furniture store...I did remove the book to clean up the background.
Perhaps a mug on the table, instead of the cookbook would have worked better
